Sovandeb Chattopadhyay, the sitting MLA from West Bengal's Bhawanipur seat, submitted his resignation to the Speaker on Friday, after which the way has been cleared for Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to contest from Bhawanipur seat.

पश्चिम बंगाल की भवानीपुर सीट से मौजूदा विधायक सोवनदेब चट्टोपाध्याय ने शुक्रवार को विधानसभा अध्यक्ष को अपना इस्तीफा सौंप दिया, जिसके बाद मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी के भवानीपुर सीट से चुनाव लड़ने का रास्ता साफ हो गया है।
