Thousands of Royal Mail postal workers are striking with further walkouts scheduled in December.

Sandy Best says she's striking "to save the Royal Mail" after trade union CWU claimed the programme of modernisation the company is seeking would turn it into a "gig economy-style parcel courier, reliant on casual labour".

Small business owner Sam Smith says he understands postal workers are striking to "protect what they think is important to them" but the disruption has forced him to find other methods of getting products to customers on time.
