Protests against sewage in seas and rivers across Britain are growing. Figures show there were more than 465,000 sewage spills in England's waterways in 2023, more than double the previous year.

One of the people affected by this is journalist Maggie Alderson, who says she lost her hearing after swimming in polluted waters in Hastings.
