At least 50 journalists and media employees were killed in connection with their work in the past year. That's according to an annual report compiled by Reporters Without Borders. Freedom of speech, freedom of information and a free press are still not guaranteed in many countries around the world. The group says most died in countries that are not even at war. Instead, journalists are targeted for trying to expose crime and corruption. Together with Mexico, Iraq, Pakistan and India, Afghanistan is one of the top five deadliest countries for journalists.
