Among the sea of campaign signs held by attendees this week at the Republican National Convention are blue rectangles with red and white lettering that read, “Stop Biden’s Border Bloodbath.”

Immigration, border security and pathways to citizenship were issues top-of-mind among some Republican delegates who spoke with PBS News at the national convention.

“These are not bad people. We're not saying they're bad people,” Chris Slinker, a Wisconsin delegate, said this week. “We want to give them a chance to come in. But can we do it right? Can we also give them a real chance instead of them sneaking in and then feeling left alone or left helpless?”

Hear from delegates who spoke with PBS News in the video above.
