Former Trump officials who say he is not fit to serve as president are focusing on his "personality" instead of his accomplishments, Dr. Ben Carson told PBS News Hour's Geoff Bennett on Tuesday, the second night of the Republican National Convention.

Trump represents what you'd see in a Manhattan businessman, Carson said: He "lives in a dog-eat-dog world ... where you take no prisoners, and that's how you rise to the top in that kind of environment."
It's akin to if you were trying to find a good surgeon, Carson said. "Would you rather have the one who has terrible bedside manner and saves everybody, or the one with the sweetest words who kills everybody?"
