WATCH: Tayari Jones on why she’s turning to the comfort of this Stevie Wonder song

The song that author Tayari Jones has “listened to a hundred times,” especially during the summer of 2020, is Stevie Wonder’s hit “Love’s in Need of Love Today.”

Jones said that although the song’s melodies and harmonies are calming, Wonder’s lyrics, like “Stop it please before it’s gone too far,” are urgent and speak to today’s moment.
