Watch: Serial killer nurse Lucy Letby sentenced for the attempted murder of a baby girl

Lucy Letby is sentenced today after being found guilty of the attempted murder of a baby girl. She was convicted of trying to murder the "very premature" infant, known as Child K, by dislodging her breathing tube in the early hours of 17 February 2016.

Letby was convicted last year of the murder of seven babies and the attempted murder of six others but the jury had been unable to reach a verdict on the charge that she attempted to murder Baby K.

She was found guilty of attempted murder by a jury after a retrial at Manchester Crown Court on Tuesday 2 July, 2024.
