Former President Donald Trump formally accepted the Republican presidential nomination Thursday, on the final night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. During a speech that lasted more than an hour, he recalled the assassination attempt that he survived this past weekend.

“The amazing thing is that prior to the shot, if I had not moved my head at that very last instant, the assassin's bullet would have perfectly hit its mark. And I would not be here tonight. We would not be together,” Trump told the crowd.

Trump also spoke on immigration and foreign policy and notably only mentioned his opponent, President Joe Biden, by name one time.
Other speakers on Thursday included the former president's son Eric Trump, professional entertainer and wrestler Hulk Hogan and TV commentator Tucker Carlson. Here are some major moments from the fourth and final night of the 2024 RNC.Watch PBS News for daily, breaking and live news, plus special coverage.
