In his first joint address to Congress on April 28, President Joe Biden touted his administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has included signing a $1.9 trillion economic relief package and administering more than 200 million vaccine doses.

“Tonight, I can say because of you — the American people – our progress these past 100 days against one of the worst pandemics in history is one of the greatest logistical achievements our country has ever seen,” Biden said.

The president delivered his address live at the U.S. Capitol, but the crowd was socially distanced and significantly scaled back due to COVID-19 protocols.
