Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley is stepping down after more than 40 years of military service. Milley and his wife were honored with a “clap out” ceremony at the Pentagon on Thursday.
Appointed to lead the Joint Chiefs of Staff — a group of top military officers that advises the president and members of their cabinet — by former President Donald Trump, Milley spent the past two years under the Biden administration shoring up support from allies around the world for the ongoing war in Ukraine.
