In Ukraine, the leader of Russia’s mercenary Wagner Group is signaling a U-turn in his decision to withdraw troops from the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut.

It has been the location of some of the war’s bloodiest battles for months and the reversal comes at a time of renewed concern about the safety of Europe’s largest Nuclear power plant.
