अर्नाल्ड डिक्स को दुनियाभर में जमीन में सुरंगे बनाने के एक्सपर्ट के तौर पर जाना जाता है. उन्हें टनल के एंट्री प्वाइंट पर उन्हें बाबा बौखनाग का छोटा मंदिर दिखा.. वो टनल में अंदर जाने से पहले बौखनाग बाबा के आगे घुटने के बल बैठकर प्रार्थना की. अर्नाल्ड डिक्स की टीम 20 नवंबर से दिन-रात रेस्क्यू में जुटी थी.. लेकिन सुरंग के अंदर 41 मजदूरों का मनोबल हर बीतते दिन के साथ टूटने लगा.. लेकिन सुरंग के अंदर टनल प्रोजेक्ट में मज़दूरों के सुपरवाइज़र गब्बर सिंह नेगी ने 40 सांसों की आस बांधी रखी.. टनल के अंदर सभी मजदूरों को जिंदा रहने का हौसला दिया.

Before going inside the tunnel, he bowed down in front of Baukhnag Baba and prayed. Arnold Dix's team was engaged in rescue work day and night since November 20. But the morale of the 41 workers inside the tunnel started breaking with each passing day. But Gabbar Singh Negi, the supervisor of the workers in the tunnel project, kept the hope of 40 laborers inside the tunnel.. He encouraged all the workers inside the tunnel.
