The local administration has reached on the spot to clear debris from the Tapovan tunnel. There are reports of about 30 people being trapped there. 300 ITBP personnel are busy clearing the tunnel, so that people can be evacuated. According to the local administration, 170 people are missing in this disaster.  Most families are not in contact with their loved ones after the incident.
