In the U.S., there's been a major surge in cases and hospitalizations for the flu and COVID-19 after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Flu hospitalizations haven't been this high, this early in the season, in over a decade.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has tracked about 9-million cases of the flu and 4,500 deaths. And COVID-19 cases are spiking too.

As Global's Jennifer Johnson reports, hospitals across the country are struggling to keep up.
