US and Russian diplomats have wrapped up the first meetings in a week of diplomacy, aimed at de-escalating the tensions on Ukraine's border.
Moscow has spent the last few months gathering its forces on Ukraine's eastern flank, raising fears about an invasion.
But Moscow wants guarantees that NATO will not accept Ukraine into the military alliance.
