US puts Houthis back on terrorist list: The decision imposes sanctions on the group

In response to attacks on vessels in the Red Sea, the United States has relisted the Houthis as a quote "specially designated global terrorist" group. The Biden administration had removed the designation in 2021, in favor of allowing humanitarian aid to the war-torn country. Now some fear the sanctions will restore those barriers to aid.
