Control of both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate still remains up in the air, as some races still have votes to be counted before winners can be declared.

The House may swing back into Republican hands, with Democrats likely to have to run the gambit in remaining toss-up races in order to keep control — something growing increasingly unlikely. But the Senate is still waiting on the results of a too close to call race in Nevada and a runoff next month in Georgia.

As Global's Jennifer Johnson reports, it comes as former president Donald Trump is being urged to stay away from those races by his own party after other candidates he endorsed lost in the midterms. He also faces his own battle with the Jan. 6 committee while also planning to mount a re-election campaign.
