The election outcome hangs on just a few final states, with Pennsylvania carrying the largest share of electoral college votes. Election officials in Pennsylvania are pushing ahead with the count, despite President Trump's unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud. President Trump won the state by a slim margin in 2016 and needs to repeat that victory. Election officials say they are focusing on counting the votes.

Many of President Trump's tweets since election day have been flagged by Twitter for containing disputed or misleading content. Trump's latest post for example contains a headline from far-right media outlet Breitbart, alleging vote-counting chaos in the closely-contested state of Michigan. The Breitbart article says the Trump campaign has been denied proper access to the counting process in the city of Detroit.
