US election: Is there a "blue shift" underway in Michigan, Pennsylvania?

Pennsylvania's 20 electoral college votes could decide the presidency, and the state continues to meticulously count ballots days after the U.S. presidential election. But the counting in one of the state's biggest counties has stopped.

Allegheny county paused vote counting on Thursday because of some 35,000 ballots that require additional scrutiny. Election officials in that county will return to counting ballots on Friday.

Mike Armstrong explains what happened in Allegheny county and takes a closer look at the “blue shift” underway in Pennsylvania.

Michigan had record voter turnout this year. In 2016, President Donald Trump unexpectedly won Michigan by a narrow margin. But this year, the coronavirus pandemic and the president's leadership style motivated many Americans to vote against him. Jeff Semple explains.
