When asked on Wednesday about possible misinformation regarding the outcome of the U.S. election on his platform, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told a Senate committee hearing his company has a policy in place "that prevents any candidate or campaign from prematurely declaring victory or trying to de-legitimize the result of the election."
He added the platform will append any such posts with further information.
Zuckerberg was appearing before a Senate committee along with the CEOs of Twitter and Alphabet Inc., as they faced a grilling by Republican senators alleging that the tech giants were showing an anti-conservative bias on their platforms.
