Tonight we’re taking a look at the question many of us are wondering about: Once we get vaccinated for COVID-19 what will we be allowed to do? Only a tiny fraction of Canadians have had the shot at this point. As of today, only about 567,000 Canadians have been fully vaccinated whereas in the United States about 30 million have been fully vaccinated. And today the American Centres for Disease Control sent out the first public health guidelines for those who have been fully vaccinated.

Fully-vaccinated Americans can gather with other vaccinated people indoors without wearing a mask or social distancing.

The recommendations also say that vaccinated people can come together in the same way with people considered at low-risk for severe disease, such as in the case of vaccinated grandparents visiting healthy children and grandchildren.

These are American guidelines not Canadian, but they do offer a glimpse into life will be like for all of us in the months ahead. Jackson Proskow reports.
