The US military has carried out its first airdrops of humanitarian aid into Gaza, after President Biden said more had to be done to help people in need.

But aid agencies say the US intervention isn't enough, with a quarter of Gaza's population facing starvation.

The aid effort comes as the fighting between Israel and Hamas continues.

The Hamas-run health ministry says at least 11 people have been killed in Rafah in an Israeli airstrike.

Israel insists it carried out a targeted strike against militants in accordance with international law.
