US government health regulators have approved the first medication called aducanumab to treat Alzheimer’s disease in nearly two decades.
Its makers say it reduces fatty plaque in the brain which is the main reason for mental decline.
But independent experts say more studies on the drug need to be done as results are so far inconclusive.
