एक वरिष्ठ नेता और पूर्व विधायक ने कहा, "यह लगभग नब्बे के दशक की पुनरावृत्ति की तरह लगता है, जब एनडी तिवारी और अर्जुन सिंह ने तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री पी.वी. नरसिम्हा राव और तत्कालीन कांग्रेस प्रमुख सीताराम केसरी के साथ मतभेदों के बाद तिवारी कांग्रेस का गठन किया था. इस समय दीवार पर लिखा हुआ है- 'हम विकल्पों की तलाश करने के लिए बाध्य हैं', जिसे सोनिया गांधी, राहुल गांधी और प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा नजरअंदाज कर रहे हैं."

'हम बीजेपी में नहीं जा सकते'

उन्होंने कहा कि वह गुलाम नबी आजाद के अगले कदम का इंतजार कर रहे हैं. उन्होंने कहा, "हम बीजेपी में नहीं जा सकते, क्योंकि हम वैचारिक रूप से असंगत हैं. अगर आजाद एक नई पार्टी बनाते हैं, तो कई लोग उनके साथ शामिल होंगे, क्योंकि आखिरकार वह एक कांग्रेसी हैं. संयोग से, गुलाम नबी आजाद उत्तर प्रदेश में पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं से परिचित हैं, क्योंकि उन्होंने राज्य के प्रभारी के रूप में कार्य किया है.
