As Pfizer looks to promote its COVID-19 vaccine as effective and well-tolerated in patients between the ages of 12 and 15, a year-long study kicked off last week into the effectiveness of the vaccine on patients as young as six months old. The age-old problem of how to best safeguard the well-being of children, and whether the conscience of parents or the dictates of government ought to take precedence in the matter, is in the spotlight.
