The UN says more than 100,000 Sudanese refugees have fled to neighbouring Chad since the conflict started.
More than 1.2 million people have been internally displaced.

Virginia Pietromarchi is a journalist at Al Jazeera online, and has recently returned from a refugee camp in Chad.
