Despite weeks of intense fighting, many people remain in north Gaza, where they struggle to meet their most basic needs, Gemma Connell of the UN Office for the Coordination for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) told Al Jazeera.

“There are tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people, and when you’re there you see them in the streets,” said Connell, who recently returned from a humanitarian trip to the north of the Strip.
