World leaders gathered in Doha this week for the fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries.
The UN says these 46 countries account for 14 percent of the world’s population, and most of their citizens live in poverty.
Officials worked on plans to reverse the decline in economic development that has been taking place since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
