U.N. climate conference opens amid skepticism world will move away from fossil fuels

The United Nations Climate Conference, COP28, began Thursday in the United Arab Emirates. Negotiators from nearly 200 countries are hoping to hammer out agreements to limit the pollution that’s warming the planet, and to agree on aid for the nations most impacted by climate change.
