The United Nations says 45 percent of all homes in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed. With more than 2 million people largely dependent on foreign aid, the UN says only 74 supply trucks have been allowed into Gaza since the fighting began. That's down from 500 a day before the Hamas attacks on Israel. The Gaza health ministry says more than 7,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli airstrikes – many of them children.
