Ukrainian forces are fighting to hold back a renewed Russian advance from the east.

It comes as the United Nations (UN) works to broker a civilian evacuation from the devastated city of Mariupol.

There are reports 25 people have been taken out from the Azovstal steel plant, but nearly 1,000 civilians remain.
