Two British men held by in eastern Ukraine by Russian-backed separatist forces are 'political hostages', says defence expert Prof Michael Clarke.

Aid worker Dylan Healy, 22, and Andrew Hill, 35, were both reportedly captured in April and charged with "mercenary activities".

Prof Clarke said they men were being held in an effort to draw concessions from Britain.
