Ukraine War: Azovstal conflict likened to Battle of Stalingrad

The ongoing standoff at Azovstal steel plant, Mariupol, has been likened to the Battle of Stalingrad, where the Soviets once held off Nazi invaders.

A Ukrainian commander of the Azov regiment said his forces were fighting "heavy, bloody battles" with Russian troops at the steel works. It has come to represent the last pocket of resistance in the besieged city.
