Ukraine is manufacturing new lightweight body armour for children to protect them from shrapnel and bullets when evacuating combat zones amid Russia's invasion.

The Lviv Defense Cluster NGO plans to deliver 500 helmets and body armour vests for children aged four to 14 as Ukrainian troops continue to fight to reclaim Russian-occupied towns and villages in the eastern Donbas region.
