A worrying spike in alcohol-related deaths has been registered in England and Wales, recently released figures reveal. The surge appears to have been prompted by the COVID lockdown and resulted in more than 5,000 such deaths in the first nine months of 2020. RT discusses the issue with Dr. James Gill, an honorary clinical lecturer at Warwick Medical School.
