UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman resigned on Wednesday afternoon, only six weeks after her appointment.
Braverman’s resignation came amid rising criticism against Prime Minister Liz Truss because of the U-turns in main policies she had announced weeks ago and the sacking of Treasury chief Kwasi Kwarteng.
It is the latest blow on an already very difficult day for the UK's embattled leader.
