UBS will acquire Credit Suisse for $4.4 billion Cdn

Switzerland's largest bank, UBS, will be acquiring its smaller rival Credit Suisse for $3 billion Swiss francs ($4.4 billion Cdn). The deal is an effort to avoid further market-shaking turmoil in the global banking system.
