Turkmen president says ‘yok’ to drugs, as he throws 122kg of narcotics into an oven
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the president of Turkmenistan, took an active part in the opening of a new complex designed for the disposal of illegal drugs. He was the first to throw some of the banned substances into the oven. The authorities will continue to fight the threat posed by the illegal narcotics trade by burning street drugs in the stoves twice a year.

‘Today, when we opened the drug destruction complex, we burned more than 122kg of drugs seized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Narcotic evil, in addition to the danger to human health, harms the gene pool of humanity, including the gene pool of the Turkmen nation,’ said the president.
