Turkey has ramped up efforts to protect its eastern border with Iran, as increasing numbers of refugees are expected from Afghanistan following the withdrawal of United States troops.
Hundreds of Afghans have crossed into Turkey in recent weeks amid rising violence in Afghanistan, raising concerns of a fresh influx of refugees.
Turkey says it is now extending a wall 295km along the border to prevent illegal crossings.
