Former U.S. president Donald Trump responded to his guilty conviction on Friday at a press conference discussing his Thursday conviction on all 34 charges in his criminal hush money trial in New York City. "This is a case where if they can do this to me, they can do this to anyone," Trump said.

"And I really think that this is an event, what took place yesterday with this judge that we have conflicted, but he's a crooked judge and you'll understand that. And I say that knowing that it's very dangerous for me to say that," Trump added.

The ex-president also said the trial was politically motivated as he makes his 2024 presidential bid.

"They missed the statute of limitations by a lot because this was very old. They could have brought this seven years ago instead of bringing it right in the middle of the election," Trump said.

Trump was found guilty of falsifying business documents to cover up a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election.
