Tropical storm Conson caused homes to collapse and roads to flood in parts of the Philippines Tuesday and Wednesday after the storm brought heavy rains and winds with speeds up to 150 km/h to the region.
The storm made landfall on Tuesday in the country's eastern province of Samar before heading northwest and hitting communities both south of Manila as well as the capital itself.
Low-lying communities ended up underwater with people walking through the waters that for some were waist-deep. No casualties have been reported so far as of Wednesday, but the national disaster agency is looking into reports of five missing fishermen.
