Tridemic: 10 kids dead amid pediatric flu surge, experts say worst still ahead

A surge of respiratory illness across Canada is starting to take a tragic toll on young kids.

There have been 10 pediatric deaths across the country and hospitals are struggling to keep up. While there are signs that the flu season may be peaking in parts of the country, the virus is still very much a threat, with hospitals bracing for some difficult weeks ahead.

Public health officials are urging parents to get their kids vaccinated against the flu as soon as they can, with some predictions that the tridemic might get worse before it gets better.
