They can be a pesky problem and even a health risk, so now Toronto is trying to help regulate the city’s pigeon population. How? By feeding them a form of birth control.
The pill has been dubbed "planned pigeon-hood,” and as Global’s Noor Ra’fat Ibrahim reports, many are already on board.
The pilot program will cost about $24,000 a year and is listed as a success in the city’s 2024 budget.
