Toronto’s Bad Boy Furniture files notice under bankruptcy act, unable to give refunds

The popular Canadian furniture store Bad Boy had a catchy tagline, a famous family connection and a storied history. Now, Bad Boy Furniture is leaving many customers feeling bad about their recent purchases.

The company filed a notice of intention (NOI) to make a proposal under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act to begin a restructuring process.

Customers who purchased by credit card are being told by KSV Restructuring, a licensed insolvency trustee, to contact their credit card company to get a refund. But no mention has been made for those customers who paid by debit or cash.
