Severe storms tore through parts of Texas and Oklahoma on Tuesday, with at least one confirmed tornado and several possible funnels being reported in multiple locations, including near the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

According to authorities, at least seven people were injured — five in the community of Grapevine and another two in Wise County, after the storms tore off roofs and damaged multiple buildings.

"Don't mess with weather," Capt. Todd Dearing of the Grapevine Police Department said. "If you hear the sirens go off, please shelter in place. Take care of yourself. Don't chance it."

The storm also hit Wayne, Oklahoma, with the National Weather Service confirming its strength as an EF2. According to reports, approximately 21 million people from Texas to Mississippi were under the threat of severe storms on Tuesday, including tornadoes.
