A large tornado swirled through northeastern Texas on Friday, one of several which caused damage in the area and also in neighbouring Oklahoma.

Video filmed by an eyewitness showed a large dark funnel moving across the countryside.

Media reports said the National Weather Service issued its most serious tornado warnings on Friday. There were also reports of hail and wind gusts.
