At the end of 2021, we're looking back at all of the stories covered by our journalists right across the country: This year, the COVID-19 pandemic once again dominated the headlines and affected Canadians and the world.

Late in the year, our attention turned to a new story unfolding in B.C.: Prolonged periods of heavy rain led to mudslides, flooding and a state of emergency.
