With Omicron cases steadily rising in the national capital, the Delhi government today banned all gatherings to celebrate Christmas and New Year. All cultural events have been prohibited, according to an order by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA); former Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav has tested positive for coronavirus. In a tweet, the wife of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said she was fully vaccinated. However, she is in self-isolation; Uddhav Thackeray's absence on the first day of the Maharashtra assembly session fuelled intense speculation about the Chief Minister's health, which did not abate even after a statement from his son and state minister Aaditya Thackeray and other top stories.
