Simranjeet Singh scored two goals for India with Hardik Singh, Harmanpreet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh also adding their names to the scoresheet. The win helped the men's hockey team end their 41-year-long medal drought at the Olympics; the government is scrapping the retroactive tax law that had led to lawsuits by firms like Cairn and Vodafone.
